Anita creates visually heightened story worlds, brought to life with authentic and captivating performances. She delights in taking a script and playing with its conceptual boundaries; fascinated with stylised and emotionally evocative imagery that exists beyond the realm of reality. With a love for production design, art and choreographed movement, Anita’s work draws inspiration from the fantastical, the poetic and the things that make us human. Anita has directed commercials for brands Vodka Cruiser, DFO, Uniqlo, Qantas, Travelodge Hotels, Dulux and SBS. Her black comedy short film, Butter: A Love Story was awarded Special Mention of the Jury for Best Comedy for Australian Shorts at Flickerfest International Short Film Festival and is a semi finalist at the Cannes Indie Short Awards. Anita’s films have also been frequently screened on Nowness.
