BACKGROUND
In the post-lockdown era of 2022, Tripadvisor wanted to renew its position as the premier web platform for all things travel and rally their community of travellers to reflect on the year that was. Our challenge? We had a small amount of time and a whole lotta platform data to analyse and transform into something engaging and inspiring.
From solo vacays and vampire tours, to reindeer sleigh rides and clubbing with grandma, we threw a spotlight on the heartwarming/aspirational/bizarre global movements of the tripadvisor community and packaged (and then unpacked) it all in an immersive, interactive, snackable and scrollable online experience.
Tripadvisor Unpacked galvanised excitement around a platform that helped us learn to travel again with lockdown in our rearview mirror.
